Tuesday, October 4: We will be traveling to the Library today to complete a Scavenger Hunt on Famous Women in History.  You may work independently or in pairs to complete the Scavenger Hunt.  The goal of the Scavenger Hunt is to learn about some of history’s most important women.  In addition, this activity will help you to identify the women and time periods that you are most interested in.  This will prepare you to select a woman to study for an independent mini-research paper.

Step 1

Work on the Women in History Scavenger Hunt.

When you open up the the document, you will discover a grid with 40 different names and terms.  It is your mission to identify each of these names/terms.  Each name or term is hyperlinked to a website.  Once you get to the website, you should collect the information that you need in order to determine who each woman is and why she is important.  You may record your answers directly in the scavenger hunt form (it is in a Word document).  In addition, you should identify each of these notable women on the timeline that you created for homework.  When you have finished, you can print it out and turn it in.

Successful completion of the Scavenger Hunt will count as a quiz grade.
