All Senior Electives are doing Senior Project Presentations in class at this point. The more you have done and prepared, the more feedback your peers will be able to give you on your presentation in class. A good tip is to use your Reflective Paper that was turned back to you this week as an outline for your presentation. All information that is in it is information about your project and your experience that you will want to share.
REMINDER: Expo is May 17…it’s coming up!!

For Open Gothic Tales:
We will be creating Powerpoints that introduce us to examples of famous Gothic architecture. In your Powerpoint you should include:
- A Title Slide with you and your partners names and the name of the cathedral/castle
- 8-10 slides, including 1-2 slides that introduce the building and provides some background information such as where it is located, when it was built and any other information that you find interesting to share. The remaining slides should describe/explain the elements of gothic architecture that can be found in the building you and your partner choose
- Images may be used as long as a caption explaining it is included
- A Works Cited slide (with more than just a website copied and pasted in). All information you would normally include on a works cited should be included.
Gothic Elements to look for include, but are not limited to: Flying buttresses, stained glass, gargoyles, ribbed or groin vaulting, pointed arches, and height.
We will finish these Powerpoints in class Monday and will present them in class Wednesday. Happy Working!

Over the years the idea of vampires has changed drastically. As we watch Blade: Trinity in class, we notice many different characteristics. However, we only have a basic image of vampires to go from. Over the weekend, do a search for vampires and even look at different cultures and the way the myth was presented. Post some of the characteristics that you find on this post. Make sure you do not use your actual name when you comment, initials or a screen name of some sort are okay.
Reading for the weekend: The Shining p226 (there will be a quiz)
